There is two things the whole staff at Mojitos agree that are awesome about the summer: The longer, hotter days; and the fun we all have during those longer, hotter days. See, the best thing about this time of year is that there is really no excuse to not enjoy your time with family and friends. But as the fun keeps going and the drinks keep pouring, the days go by and the fun dwindles down.
Well, if we look at the bright side, September gives us three big reasons to keep on pouring (and enjoying):
1. It’s not really that bad. People make September look like the Summer grinch that takes our awesome weather away. Despite the little inconvenience of days becoming shorter (quite literally by the minute), the weather is not that bad, and the little chill that is now surrounding us is a perfect excuse to wear that cute animal print jacket you’ve hoarded since the nineties. But you know that you’re most likely going to toss it away when it’s time to hit the dance floor.
2. It’s not really, really that bad. September gives us a sense of pride on who we are (it’s also another excuse to pop the bottle and pour the champagne). We have a couple Latino independence days to celebrate, and we even have one of our own American Holidays to celebrate anyways. But let me stop here and remind you guys that there will be a Central American Independence Cruise later this month. You should already be looking forward to it.
3. It’s actually really, really good. What’s better to start the month with a day off work? Oh, I can hear you all saying, “is it another excuse to bring on the booze, bring on the fun?”. Well, of course! Mojitos is open this Sunday too. And it’s going to be explosive. There are a few (well, more than a few) Sundays every year we decide to just go all out with the fun, all out with the beats, all out with the party; but this time around, it’s an exception:
Summer is not over yet. There, I’ve said it, and we at Mojitos expect Mother Nature to comply. (At least for Thursdays to Sundays. It can rain all she wants during the week!)
